A Week in Montecito
How we spent 5 days in the American Riviera. A day-by-day recap for your next trip: what we ate, drank, did, and the outfits to go with the occasion.
We decided to spend a few days up the coast in Montecito for my birthday. We wanted to get out of LA, go somewhere that was an easy drive and a change of scenery with a few classic spots.
Montecito is about two hours north and I've always loved this area. You're close to Santa Barbara, you can pop up to Los Olivos, Los Alamos, and Santa Ynez for a quick change of pace. You have the beach. It's polished but never stuffy — even when you could be sitting next to Oprah or Prince Harry. Or Ashton. Or Kourtney.
There are the classic spots you go back to every time and some newer ones that keep it interesting. It's not overwhelming — but there's enough to fill a full week without repeating yourself. And even if you did repeat, you wouldn’t care because they are so good.
Here’s what we did, day by day, and the outfits to go with the occasion.
